Better consultancy support for organisations

WHE-UK has presented two conference papers challenging the way in which consultants give organisations what they ask for rather than what they need. Consultants often provide short term fixes to the symptoms of problems rather than cures for the causes that underly them. Sometimes this is because the consultant is simply responding to what they have been asked to do and sometimes it is because they are not thinking beyond the tools that they are used to using.

An alternative approach was promoted by WHE-UK that helps to ensure consultancy support for organisations provides long lasting and more worthwhile benefits. This requires a more honest, open and adult partnership as the basis of working with clients and less reliance on popular tools and the latest 'silver bullets' to address organisational issues such as perfromance.
